Hello, my name is Emmanuel Onwuka and I am glad you decided to stop by.
I encourage you to take your time and understand what I am about to share in the next few words.
I am Christian and I preach/teach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Well, that might sound as if there is another gospel.
The truth is that there are other gospels being preached out there apart from the gospel of Jesus.
Paul in His letter to the Galatians (Galatians 1:8-9) laid a double curse…
On any man or an angel that preaches any other gospel apart from the one he preached.
If you are listening to another gospel apart from the one Apostle Paul preached: You are under the ministry of condemnation.
This is not because of what you did or did not do, but because of what you may have believed.
And like the scripture says, those who live under the law are under a curse (Galatians 3:10).
Thus any preaching outside the gospel Paul preached, which is the gospel of Grace, is a preaching that curses you.
Because such sermon presupposes on your ability to keep the commandment of God.
What then was the gospel Paul preached?
Paul’s ministry emphasised the total forgiveness of all your sins.
The book of Acts gives you a picture of the message he carried to the Jews and Gentiles…
Chapter 13 of Acts of the Apostles recorded Paul’s message in Antioch.
Starting from Genesis he expounded the scriptures to them until he got to the crux of his message –
Be it known unto you, therefore, men and brethren, that through this man(Jesus) is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him (Jesus) all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. – Acts 13: 38-39.
Paul makes a clear distinction between justification by works (the Law of Moses) and justification by Faith in Jesus Christ (Grace).
This leads us to the two kinds of gospel that pervade our time-
The gospel of Grace and the preaching of the Law.
Your performance is the major determinant of how blessed you will be under the Law.
According to these preaching, God blesses you when you are good and punishes you when you are bad.
God will not blot out your transgressions. You will reap a harvest of whatever you sow.
It is the gospel that makes God’s performance in your life dependent on your efforts;
In other words, you must perform to stand qualified in the presence of God.
But guess what happened along the way as God continued to work with His people with the terms of the old covenant…
HE became tired of this covenant and in Jeremiah (Jeremiah 31:31-34 NASB) said…
“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.
“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD, “I will put My law within them and on their heart, I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
“They will not teach again, each man his neighbour and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the LORD, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
And Christ Jesus fulfilled the covenant. He came as a man. Satan tempted him…
He bled and died on the cross, defeated Satan, and is sitting at the right hand of the Father as your high priest…
Forever making you acceptable before the Father.
The Gospel of Grace has thus replaced the covenant that was on two tablets of stones.
So the crux of the new testament gospel is that the Lord will never ever remember your sins anymore…
Not because God has gone soft on sin, but because the wages of sin, which is death, laid on His Son Jesus on the cross.
And when you accept Jesus and depend on Him, salvation is yours. The Lord sees you righteous and sets you apart for His use.
Grace makes nothing of your efforts or any man efforts, but makes the most of Jesus Christ and His finished work.
Grace takes away all the doings from you. And places it on what Jesus had done and what He is still doing at the right hand of the Father.
Thus any word or sayings that give you a part to play in your walk in salvation negates the finished work of Jesus.
God hates any action that does not glorify His Son.
You must grow in grace by learning about Jesus Christ and the finished work on the cross.
